In what could have been his last start in Toronto, former Duke Baseball player Marcus Stroman stepped up and tossed another stellar game.
The trade talk and speculation around Marcus Stroman is heating up and in what very well could have been his final start as a member of the Toronto Blue Jays, Stroman stepped up and delivered once again.
Against the Cleveland Indians on Wednesday night the former Blue Devil threw seven innings of one run ball, scattering five hits, walking just one, and striking out eight.

However, in perfect fashion with this season for the Blue Jays, Stroman picked up the loss as the Indians won 4-0 thanks to a complete game one-hitter from starter Shane Bieber.
Over his last four games, which total 20 innings, Stroman has allowed just four earned runs, three walks, and struck out 18 batters, despite going 1-2 in those games.
On the season, Stroman is 6-11 with a 2.96 ERA with 96 total strikeouts and one of the main targets contenders are targeting ahead of the July 31 MLB Trading Deadline.
Teams that have been linked to Stroman include the New York Yankees, Boston Red Sox, Philadelphia Phillies, and Atlanta Braves.
Despite all of the trade rumors surrounding Stroman, SportsNet New York reported that the Blue Jays are considering offering a contract extension to Marcus Stroman who will be up for arbitration at the end of this season.
Pending on when, and if, the Toronto Blue Jays decide to trade Marcus Stroman he is slated to have one more start before July 31 on July 29 against the Kansas City Royals.
The MLB Trading Deadline officially passes at 4:00pm EST on July 31 but Marcus Stroman could still be traded up until August 31, but the Blue Jays must place him on waivers and a team would have to claim him.
Toronto could then workout a trade with the team or pull Stroman off of waivers.
