The former sharpshooter for the Duke Basketball team, Seth Curry, has agreed to return to Dallas after coming to terms on a contract with the Mavericks.
Seth Curry is returning to the city where he had the best regular season of his career to date as he will be the newest member, kind of, of the Dallas Mavericks.
After one season in Portland with the Trail Blazers, Curry helped the Blazers reach the Western Conference Finals, but with a superstar backcourt comprised of Damian Lillard and CJ McCollum, Curry found it hard to see consistent minutes, averaging only 18.9 minutes per game in a 74 games played.

Curry averaged 7.9 points and 1.6 rebounds per game in the regular season, while shooting 45.6% from the field and 45.0% from 3-point range, while in the postseason he averaged 5.6 points per game on 40.4% shooting from 3-point range.
The youngest Curry will be making his second appearance in Dallas as he suited up for 70 games, starting 42, in the 2016-17 season.
In the 2016-17 season, the 28-year old averaged 12.8 points, 2.6 rebounds, 2.7 assists, and 1.1 steals per game, all the best outputs of his career, while also shooting a career best from the floor at 48.0% and 42.5% from 3-point range.
ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski reports that deal is for four years and worth $32 million.
With this deal, Curry will hope to stay with a team for longer than one season as he has moved every single offseason since he entered the NBA in 2013.
In the 2013-14 season Curry spent time with the Cleveland Cavaliers and Memphis Grizzlies, in 2014-15 he was in the desert with the Phoenix Suns, 2015-16 Seth Curry was a member of the Sacramento Kings, followed by his stint with Mavericks in 2016-17, and Portland in 2018-19.
Seth Curry will try and help the Dallas Mavericks get back to the postseason after the team posted a 33-49 record a season a year ago.
