The former Duke Basketball one and done star, Cam Reddish, is now an Atlanta Hawk as the franchise made him the No. 10 pick in the 2019 NBA Draft.

The Cam Fam is moving to Atlanta as Cam Reddish has been selected by the Atlanta Hawks with the No. 10 overall pick in the 2019 NBA Draft.

Reddish was the Hawks’ second selection in this draft as the team selected De’Andre Hunter with the No. 4 overall pick after a draft day trade with the New Orleans Pelicans.

The selection of Reddish also makes three Duke Blue Devils taken in the Top-10 joining his teammates Zion Williamson (No. 1 to New Orleans) and R.J. Barrett (No. 3 to the New York Knicks).

The Norristown, Pennsylvania native is known for his athleticism and his shooting ability although he had a streaky shooting season in his lone season at Duke and some questions were raised about his toughness and durability, however scouts have said Reddish’s game translates much better to the NBA style rather than college.

In 36 games, Reddish averaged 13.5 points, 3.7 rebounds, 1.9 assists, and 1.6 steals per game in addition to shooting 35.6% from the field and 39.4% from 3-point range.

One of his finest moments in a Duke uniform was capping off a comeback win against the Florida State Seminoles with a 3-point buzzer beater to give the Blue Devils the win on the road. Reddish’s clutch shot capped off a 23 point performance from the freshman and his season high on the year was 27 points on the road against North Carolina.

An All-ACC Honorable Mention, Reddish will get to learn and thrive with a rebuilding Atlanta Hawks team that includes Trae Young and John Collins to go along with the addition of Hunter this evening.

With Cam Reddish being taken inside of the Top-10 of the NBA Draft, Duke joins the 2007 Florida Gators as the only programs to have three players picked within the first ten picks of the NBA Draft.

Outside of basketball, Cam Reddish wore a custom suit, highlighting his hometown of Norristown, his family, #CamFam, his love and praise for God, and the mother of his teammate Tre Jones, Debbie, who is battling breast cancer.
