Duke Basketball: Javin DeLaurier does not get an invite to NBA Combine
The Duke Basketball co-captain, Javin DeLaurier, did not receive an invite to the NBA Combine after his performance at the G-League Combine this week.
There was a lot of buzz surrounding the NBA potential of Javin DeLaurier this week after his workouts for the Minnesota Timberwolves, Atlanta Hawks, and Detroit Pistons.
DeLaurier seemed to be in a good position to perform well at the NBA G-League Combine that was held in Chicago this week. Out of the group of college players that were invited to the G-League Combine, a handful would be picked to participate in the NBA Combine starting on Wednesday.

Javin DeLaurier was not one of the ten players selected to participate in the NBA Combine.
At the G-League Combine, DeLaurier played in two scrimmages, the second being much better than the first.
In the first game on Monday, DeLaurier started and scored four points on 2-of-3 shooting and missing a 3-point attempt, while having three rebounds, three assists, and two steals. However, one thing that has plagued the Duke co-captain throughout his collegiate career is foul trouble and he picked up five fouls in just under 19 minutes played.
On Tuesday, DeLaurier had a better game but still nothing that would catch the attention of scouts and NBA personal in attendance.
The 6-foot-10 forward logged just over 20 minutes and finished with six points and nine rebounds. He made 3-of-4 shots off the bench also adding two assists.
In his junior season at Duke, DeLaurier averaged 3.8 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks per game in an average of 16.3 minutes per game.
Javin DeLaurier made his decision with Marques Bolden to test the waters of the the NBA Draft and DeLaurier has made it further than Bolden as the other Duke big man did not receive an invite to the G-League Combine.
DeLaurier also signed with Durrant Sports Management prior to the G-League Combine.
While it is in the best interest of both DeLaurier and Bolden to return to Duke for their senior seasons, players have until May 29 to withdraw from the NBA Draft and return to their schools to maintain their college eligibility.
