The former Duke Baseball standout, Marcus Stroman, is pitching very well to start the season but he still cannot get any run support from the Toronto Blue Jays.

It was another very good start from Marcus Stroman on Sunday, but once again the Blue Jays offense fell flat and could not provide him any run support.

In Cleveland against the Indians, Stroman threw six innings allowing three runs on six hit, walking just one and striking out six.

The Indianas were able to get to Stroman in the first inning, scoring two runs on three straight two-out hits.

Marcus Stroman was doomed as soon as the first run crossed home plate, as the Blue Jays offense once again did not score a run while he was on the mound.

In his three starts, the Toronto Blue Jays have not scored a run in the 18 and two-thirds innings that Stroman has been on the mound.

In those three games, the Blue Jays have only been outscored 7-2.

After registering a no-decision on Opening Day against the Detroit Tigers, Stroman has picked up back-to-back losses against the Baltimore Orioles and the Indianas.

In his fifth year pitching for the Blue Jays, Stroman is off to an 0-2 start with a 2.41 ERA while walking just six batters, four those walks coming on Opening Day, and striking out 18 hitters.

Stroman has reached at least five strikeouts in each of his first three starts.

The Blue Jays are not just 3-8 on the young MLB season and tied for last in the American League East with the defending World Series Champion Boston Red Sox.

Toronto will be going to Boston for a two game series, but Marcus Stroman is scheduled to get his next start on Sunday, April 14, back at home in the Rodgers Centre against another AL East foe, the Tampa Bay Rays.
