Daniel Jones was one of the more intriguing quarterback prospects heading into the NFL Draft later this month.
No one truly expected Jones to leave Duke at the beginning of the season, but with a very weak quarterback class and a stellar season in Durham, Jones opted to enter his name in the NFL Draft.

NFL.com Draft Analyst Chad Reuter has Jones being selected by the New York Giants with the No. 17 overall pick.
The Giants and Jones seem to be a perfect match as Jones’ coach in college, David Cutcliffe, also coached and molded Giants current quarterback Eli Manning.
The day after Daniel Jones’ workout at Duke he was in New Jersey the next morning with a private workout and meeting with the Giants.
CBS Sports’ Pete Prisco also has the Giants selecting Jones’ at No. 17 but Prisco’s colleague at CBS Sports, predicted a trade between the Giants and the Kansas City Chiefs and has the Giants taking Jones with the No. 29 overall pick.
ESPN’s Mel Kiper Jr. did not rank Daniel Jones in his Top-25 prospects entering the NFL Draft, but he did rank Jones as the No. 4 quarterback, behind Ohio State’s Dwayne Haskins, Oklahoma’s Kyler Murray, and Missouri’s Drew Lock.
Kiper Jr. did not have Jones being selected in the First Round in his mock draft and neither did his fellow draft expert Todd McShay.
While more and more mock drafts will be released in the coming weeks, the NFL Draft begins with the First Round on Thursday, April 25 in Nashville, Tennessee at 8:00pm ET and the First Round of the NFL Draft will be broadcasted on ABC, ESPN, ESPN2, Fox and NFL Network.
