New York Yankees star Aaron Judge gave some advice for the Duke Basketball star Zion Williamson on Monday afternoon.

As the Major League Baseball is set to start on Thursday afternoon, New York Yankees star Aaron Judge was on the Michael Kay Show on ESPN New York and he was asked about the potential of Zion Williamson playing in New York next season with the Knicks.

If Zion landed on the Knicks, Judge said he would tell Williamson, “Go out there, have fun. Play hard for the city, because the city’s going to see that, and if you’re playing hard and giving 110 percent, they’re going to have your back,” Judge told the show.

“We’ve got great fans in New York and if he’s going out there doing his job, he’s going to put on a show for everybody.”

The Knicks have been one of the few laughing stocks of the NBA this season, posting a 14-60 record, the worst record in the NBA, with eight games left in its season.

However, despite its laughable season, the most important date for the Knicks is on May 14 when the NBA will hold its Draft Lottery.

Which ever team gets awarded the No. 1 overall pick will most likely get the services of Zion Williamson, who appears to be the consensus No. 1 selection on June 20.

Aaron Judge knows what it’s like to be in the spotlight in New York City, playing for arguably the most well known franchise in all of sports where championships are the only thing acceptable to the organization and the fans.

Zion Williamson is getting a taste of that in his lone season at Duke, but in the NBA, being compared to the likes of LeBron James, there could be a whole new level of fame and scrutiny that could be coming Williamson’s way.

However, in the interview, Judge mentioned the entire Duke team, highlighting the play of Williamson’s fellow freshmen, “the players like R.J. Barrett, Cam Reddish, his supporting cast with him, those are some special players, too.”

While the Knicks are finishing up its season in the next few weeks, Judge and the Yankees start its season on March 28 against the Baltimore Orioles, but its Zion Williamson and Duke who will be playing in the Sweet 16 on Friday night.

Duke takes on the Virginia Tech Hokies from the Capital One Arena in Washington D.C. at approximately 9:40pm ET for the right to advance to the Elite 8. The game can be seen on CBS.
