The ACC announced the winners for its yearly honors and many members of the Duke Basketball team were recognized for their performances this year.
So we already tackled that Zion Williamson won the ACC Player and Rookie of the Year Awards, but there were many other honors given out by the ACC on Monday afternoon.
R.J. Barrett finished second in the voting to Williamson for the Player and Rookie of the Year Award, but Barrett was placed on the All-ACC First Team along side Williamson with 346 votes, four votes shy of being an unanimous selection.

Averaging 23.4 points. 7.5 rebounds, and 4.2 assists, Barrett is having one of the best freshman seasons in Duke history, including the first triple-double in program history since 2006 and the first triple-double recorded by a Duke freshman since 1987.
Along side Zion, R.J. was also named to the ACC All-Freshman, but after receiving 19 more votes than North Carolina’s Coby White for the ACC Rookie of Year, White received one more vote than Barrett to be on the All-Freshman Team.
Barrett still finished with 66 votes to be included on the All-Freshman Team, once again four votes shy of being an unanimous selection.
Joining Barrett and Williamson on the ACC’s All-Freshman Team was star point guard Tre Jones. Jones was the last player named to the All-Freshman Team, receiving 38 votes.
The Apple Valley, Minnesota native is averaging 8.7 points, 3.8 rebounds, 5.3 assists, and 2.1 steals per game.
Jones is most know for his defense and he came in second place behind Virginia’s De’Andre Hunter for the ACC Defensive Player of the Year Award. Hunter had been 46 of the 70 votes while Jones had just 19.
The freshman guard was also named named to the ACC’s All-Defensive Team, along side Zion Williamson, where Jones received 56 votes compared to Zion’s 53, with Hunter still leading the way with 60 votes.
Tre Jones was also named to the All-ACC Honorable Mention team where he received 18 votes.
Fellow freshman Cam Reddish joins Jones on the Honorable Mention team, the wing from Westtown, Pennsylvania is avenging 14.3 points, 3.8 rebounds, and 2.1 assists per game while shooting 35.6% from the field and 33.2% from 3-point range.
Reddish was the second leading vote getter for the Honorable Mention team with 37 votes as Florida State’s Mfiondu Kabengele received 69 votes.
Williamson, Barrett, Reddish, and Jones are all expected on the court when the Blue Devils play in its first ACC Tournament game on Thursday evening on ESPN.
