The Duke Baseball team combined for a no hitter in Friday night in a demolition of the Penn State Nittany Lions.
Graeme Stinson, Matt Dockman, and Jack Carey combined to throw a no hitter on Friday night for the Duke Blue Devils against the Penn State Nittany Lions.
The Blue Devils rolled 14-0 in the first game of the three game series, but it was the trio of pitchers that was the story of the game.

The junior southpaw out of Norcross High School in Norcross, Georgia, Graeme Stinson (2-0), started the game and picked up victory after throwing five innings, striking out five, and walking two.
Matt Dockman came in relief of Stinson and tossed one inning and striking out one. The left-handed sophomore from Watterson High School in Hillard, Ohio only had to throw 12 pitches on Friday night.
Head Coach Chris Pollard turned to freshman Jack Carey for the final three innings and the right hander from Summit, New Jersey and out of St. Peter’s Prep High School was dominant.
Carey (1) picked up the first save of his collegiate career and struck out five in his three innings of work, throwing 49 pitches.
It was the first no-hitter in program history since 1955.
As a team, the Blue Devils committed three errors on defense.
Offensively, the Blue Devils struck in the first for one run, four runs in the third inning, and then exploded for nine runs in the seventh inning.
Kennie Taylor led the way at the plate with four RBI, on two hits, and scoring three runs. Ethan Murray also had two hits, three RBI, and scored a run.
Erikson Nichols and Michael Rothenberg picked up 2 RBI each, while Kyle Gallagher and Chris Crabtree both had one RBI.
The Blue Devils will continue its series with Penn State tomorrow at 2:00pm ET in Bradenton, Florida and the series finale is on Sunday at 12:00pm ET.
