The many media personalities are wrong with their hot takes once again as Zion Williamson is nearing a return to the court for the Duke Basketball team.

While it remains to be seen exactly when Zion Williamson, we do know that he will be back on the court at sometime this season, quieting the media personalities that said he should not play again at Duke.

The frontrunner for the National Player of the Year candidate suffered a Grade 1 knee sprain on February 20 against North Carolina and as soon as Williamson went down, the hot takes started flowing that he should not play another minute for Duke.

Most of these hot takes came from the “experts” in the media, looking to make a name for themselves and haven’t truly watch Zion Williamson for 40 minutes in each of the 26 games he has played this season.

The day after Zion was injured, I wrote an article saying that if he was healthy, he was going to play because that is how he is wired.

Charles Barkley said it best on TNT’s Inside the NBA:

After the win over Syracuse, Mike Krzyzewski told reporters that there has been no talk of shutting Zion down for the season within the program, from Zion’s family, or from Zion himself.

Since his emergence on November 6 against Kentucky, he was just about regraded by most people as the No. 1 pick. Since then, many have asked him what he would have done if there was an early entry to the NBA Draft right out of high school.

Every time Zion gets asked these questions, he quickly turns them down and one theme always remains constant; Zion Williamson loves playing basketball. Zion Williamson loves playing basketball at Duke University. And Zion Williamson loves playing for Mike Krzyzewski and with his Duke teammates.

The biggest example?

Watch the replay of Saturday’s win against Syracuse.

Zion Williamson in sitting on the bench, right next to the coaches, absorbing the game, trying to learn more, and out of the record crowd at the Carrier Dome, with many Duke fans in attendance, it was Zion who was the biggest cheerleader for the Blue Devils.

Duke next plays on Tuesday night against Virginia Tech and it still remains unknown whether or not Zion Williamson will play, but he’s on his way back, he’s coming back, and watch out America, because the Duke Blue Devils are coming.
