If tests comeback clean on the Duke Basketball superstar, Zion Williamson, he will be back on the court for the Blue Devils if he’s healthy.
Zion Williamson is the ultimate competitor. Zion Williamson is the ultimate team player. If Zion Williamson gets a clean bill of health, he will be back on the court for the Duke Blue Devils this season.
The entire world knows that Zion Williamson was injured 40 seconds into Wednesday night’s game against North Carolina and he did not return with that has been diagnosed as a mild knee sprain.

More information regarding the timeline and length of Williamson’s injury should be released on Thursday, but if Williamson gets positive news, he will absolutely be back on the court with his teammates.
Last month, Zion was asked if he would consider sitting out for the rest of the season to save himself for the NBA, he told Josh Graham of the Sports Hub Triad‘s;
“I just can’t stop playing. I’d be letting my teammates down. I’d be letting Coach K down. I’d be letting a lot of people down. If I wanted to sit out, I wouldn’t have went to college. I came to Duke to play.”
That tells you all there is to know about Williamson.
To further the point, ahead of the game against North Carolina, Zion and R.J. Barrett sat down with Andy Katz and he asked Zion his thoughts of going straight to the NBA from high school.
Williamson responded, “I always knew I was going to college. Even if they had the NBA rule still, I still would have come to college. You’re never going to get this experience again. Once you get to the league, it’s not just kids having fun.”
“Having fun.”
Anytime Zion Williamson is on the basketball court, he looks like he is having the time of his life and he loves playing for Duke and for Head Coach Mike Krzyzewski.
Now, the argument can be made that Zion doesn’t owe Duke or the NCAA anything and even if he is healthy he should just sit out and train for the NBA Draft.
Did you read the quotes above? Have you watched Zion play at all this season?
The young man loves to play basketball, he loves to compete, and he wants to win a National Championship with his teammates who he’s been playing and practicing with since July.
The biggest challenge in this argument is the unknown of the freshman from Spartanburg, South Carolina’s health and, hopefully, there will be more information soon, but if and whenever Zion Williamson can return to the court this season, you better believe he will be out there.
