The Duke Basketball star Zion Williamson swept the ACC Weekly Honors, winning both ACC Freshman and Player of the Week.

Zion Williamson has racked up yet another ACC Freshman of the Week Award this week.

It is the fifth time he has won this specific honor, but the freshman is also being recognized as the ACC’s Player of the Week for his performances in Duke’s win over Louisville and North Carolina State.

This is the second time Williamson has swept the weekly honors.

In Duke’s historic comeback against Louisville on Tuesday night, Zion scored 27 points to go along with 12 rebounds. He made nine of his fifteen attempts from he field and eight of his nine attempts from the foul line.

Williamson played the last nine minuets with four fouls and led the Blue Devils with his energy and passion without fouling out.

Fast forward to Saturday and Zion Williamson just kept the train moving, scoring 32 points in Duke’s win over NC State. Zion also added six rebounds, three steals, and an assist in the Blue Devils’ victory.

However, despite Zion’s 32 points and twelve of sixteen shooting from the field, it was R.J. Barrett who took the headlines, notching the first triple-double in Duke history since 2006.

Barrett had 23 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists against the Wolfpack, but more impressively he had no turnovers in his 37 minutes of action.

Zion Williamson now has three 30-point games on the season and he has extended record and lead over R.J. Barrett for the most 25-point games as a freshman at Duke to the 12 games.

Zion, R.J., and the rest of the No. 1 Duke Blue Devils will be back in acton on Wednesday night as the in-state rival No. 8 North Carolina Tar Heels come to Durham before the Blue Devils head north for a revenge game against the Syracuse Orange on Saturday.
