In the latest Associated Press Top 25 Poll, the Duke Basketball team is still ranked as the No. 2 team in the country.

The Duke Blue Devils won its two games last week, but the Tennessee Volunteers did the same, so the Blue Devils remain the No. 2 team in the Associated Press’ Top 25 Poll this week.

Duke secured two blowout victories this week, starting a road win over Notre Dame and a rare non-conference February home game with a rout over St. John’s.

There was a bit of a shake up in this week’s Top-5 with Michigan dropping out of the fifth spot and the Kentucky Wildcats soaring in, putting two SEC and ACC teams in the Top 5.

The Top 5 currently sits with Tennessee at No. 1, No. 2 Duke, No. 3 Virginia, No. 4 Gonzaga, and No. 5 Kentucky.

Tennessee received 48 first place votes, while Duke received 12 votes, and Virginia got four.

Michigan fell to No. 7 after a loss on the road against Iowa.

The Blue Devils have a showdown on Saturday in Charlottesville against No. 3 Virginia at 6:00 pm ET, but Duke must take care of business on Tuesday night at Cameron Indoor Stadium against Boston College.

Virginia’s only game this week will come on Saturday. Duke defeated Virginia in Durham back on January 19, 72-70, without point guard Tre Jones, who will be on the floor this Saturday.

Including No. 2 Duke and No. 3 Virginia, there are six ACC teams in the Top-25 and one team that received votes.

The North Carolina Tar Heels move up one spot to No. 8 this week as well as the Virginia Tech Hokies, who also moved up one spot, settling at No. 11.

The Louisville Cardinals dropped one spot from No. 15 to No. 16, while the Florida State Seminoles rose three sports from No. 25 to No. 22.

The other ACC team that also received votes this week was the Syracuse Orange with only three votes, a long way behind the No. 25 team, Cincinnati, with 142 votes.

As February is underway, the intensity will be raised in the ACC as bubble teams try and make the final push towards Selection Sunday on March 17.
