Georgia Tech’s defense has been very good this season, but the Yellow Jackets defense will be no match for the offensive firepower that the Duke Basketball team has.

The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets are coming into Cameron Indoor Stadium on Saturday afternoon, bringing a stifling defense with them, only allowing 63.5 points per game.

However, the Yellow Jackets have yet to see a team like the Duke Blue Devils which averages 88.6 points per game and should have Tre Jones back in the lineup on Saturday.

Georgia Tech has been difficult to figure out this season, as the team posts a 11-8 overall record and a 3-3 record in ACC play.

Aside from a route against Louisville last Saturday, the Yellow Jackets have been in every game and have yet to be truly blown out.

Against the No. 5 Tennessee, the Volunteers took care of business on its home floor, defeating Georgia Tech by 13 points, the Yellow Jackets then lost three out of its next four, losing on the road to Northwestern, in Miami against St. John’s, and then the worst loss of the season, at home to Gardner-Webb.

The last non-conference loss for the Yellow Jackets came against instate rival Georgia at home.

In ACC play, Georgia Tech has defeated Wake Forest, Syracuse in the Carrier Dome, and Notre Dame, but fallen to then No. 9 Virginia Tech, Clemson, and Louisville.

Georgia Tech is coached by Josh Pastner and led by guard Jose Alvarado and big man James Banks III.

Alvarado is the teams leading scorer and assist man, averaging 13.8 points and 3.2 assists along with 3.7 rebounds per game. The sophomore guard from Brooklyn, New York shoots 43.1% from the field and 30.4% from the 3-point line.

As for Banks, he leads the team in on the glass at 7.8 rebounds per game, but also can fill up the stat sheet, averging 11.2 points and 2.5 blocks per game with a 58.1% field goal percentage.

One name to keep an eye on for the Yellow Jackets is Michael Devoe.

Devoe only averages 8.8 points per game and shooting 41.9% from the field and 30.6% from 3-point range, but he was a teammate of R.J. Barrett last season at Montverde Academy.

The Blue Devils and the Yellow Jackets will tipoff from Cameron Indoor Stadium at 12:00 pm ET on Saturday and the game can be seen on the ACC Network.
