The former Duke Basketball superstar, J.J. Redick, gave the Philadelphia 76ers a much needed victory by hitting a game winning shot.

It didn’t look great for the Philadelphia 76ers in the final minutes last night against the San Antonio Spurs.

The 76ers were down 120-112 with just under three minutes to go, but a 10-0 run over that time period lifted Philadelphia to a victory, and bumping its record to 32-17, firmly as the No. 4 seed in the Eastern Conference, three and a half games behind the Milwaukee Bucks and Toronto Raptors for the No. 1 seed, and two and a half games above the Boston Celtics who are in the No. 5 seed.

However, the game stood at 120-117 as the 76ers raced down the floor. Ben Simmons got to the free throw line, picked up his dribble and looked for someone to get the ball to. He found J.J. Redick on the right wing who drilled the 3-point shot to tie the game.

As Redick made the shot, he was fouled by Rudy Gay as Redick would now head to the line for one shot to try and give Philadelphia a one point lead.

Redick once again calmly stepped to the line and sunk his only free throw attempt to give the 76ers a one point lead with a minute to go.

The 76ers would then add one more point and several defensive stops to come away with a 122-120 victory.

Redick finished with 19 points, three rebounds, and three assists on six of sixteen shooting, with all of his makes coming from the 3-point line as he shot three of thirteen from beyond the arc.

The Philadelphia 76ers will now head West for a crucial four game road trip starting on Saturday night against the Denver Nuggets, followed by a trip to L.A. to play the Lakers, then a chance at the defending champion Golden State Warriors, and closing in Sacramento against the Kings.
