As ESPN started its college basketball version of GameDay for its fifteenth season, Cameron Indoor Stadium was the historic host, as the No. 1 Duke Blue Devils host the No. 4 Virginia Cavaliers at 6:00 pm ET.

The biggest question that was raised is the health of Duke point guard Tre Jones. Jones suffered a shoulder injury on Monday against Syracuse and the initial diagnosis looked much worse than what Jones is currently dealing with.

Mike Krzyzewski told The Athletic, that Jones’ injury is not a long term situation and that the freshman from Apple Valley, Minnesota should be back sooner, rather than later.

In the  interview, Coach K also did not rule Tre Jones out of Saturday’s game against No. 4 Virginia.

ESPN’s analyst Seth Greenberg compared this Duke team to the past Duke team’s with Bobby Hurley, Tommy Amaker, and Jay Williams with how elite the Blue Devils were on defense, and with Tre Jones this Duke team is comparable to those Blue Devil teams.

ESPN Analyst and former Duke Basketball player Jay Bilas said that Jones is the best freshman defended that has every played for Coach K.

In a sit down interview with ESPN’s Tom Rinaldi, Coach K said that in his opinion, Tre Jones is the most important player on this Duke team and that you could see when Jones got injured against Syracuse, Duke is a different team.

Krzyzewski also talked about how he still loves to pursue moments and how much he enjoyed the victory over Florida State and how blessed and thankful he is to be at Duke University.

As for picks for the game, Jay Bilas is calling the game along side with Dan Shulman so he could not make a pick but his key to the game for Duke is to be poised and to be patient, but Jay Williams and Seth Greenberg picked Virginia primarily because they believe Duke will not have Tre Jones.

The Blue Devils and the Cavaliers will tipoff at 6:00 pm ET and the game can be seen on ESPN.
