Duke Basketball: Wake Forest is danger mode hosting the Blue Devils

The Wake Forest Demon Deacons have struggled mightily this season and things won’t get much easier as they travel to Durham to face the Duke Basketball team.

In 13 games so far this season, the Wake Forest Demon Deacons have proved that it is not a very good basketball team.

The Deacons hold a 7-6 record and are 0-1 in the ACC.

Wake Forest lost by 20 points to St. Joseph’s at a neutral site, two points in overtime against Houston Baptist at home, ten points against Richmond on the road, 19 to then No. 3 Tennessee on the road, five to Gardner-Webb at home, and 13 to Georgia Tech on the road.

The leaders of this Wake Forest team are Brandon Childress, Jaylen Hoard, and Chaundee Brown.

Childress leads the team with a team high 17.3 points, 4.2 assists, and 1.6 steals per game to go along with 3.4 rebounds per game and a 48.4% field goal percentage. Childress is a sharpshooters from 3-point range, leading the team with a 46.7% 3-point field goal percentage.

Hoard is the leading rebounds on the Demon Deacons averaging 7.7 rebounds per game in addition to his 15.5 points, 1.5 assists, and 0.6 steals and blocks per game. Hoard leads the team in field goal percentage, making 49.3% of his attempts.

Lastly, Chaundee Browns is the final Demon Deacon who averages double digit points with 11.4 points, 4.8 rebounds, and 1.3 assists per game.

Including hose three players, Head Coach Danny Manning has an eight man rotation, but none of which standout when you look at the team on paper.

The Blue Devils and the Demon Deacons will tip off on Tuesday night at 7:00 pm ET from the Lawrence Joel Coliseum which can be seen on ESPN.
