The Duke Basketball team has not moved from its top ranking in the Associated Press Top 25 Poll after a thrashing of the Clemson Tigers.

The Duke Basketball team is still the No. 1 team in the country as the Blue Devils remain atop of the latest Associated Press Top 25 Poll.

After not having a game since December 20 but regaining the top ranking, once Duke hit the court, the team once again showed the world how potent it is and how dangerous it can be.

The Blue Devils demolished the Clemson Tigers 87-68 in the first ACC game of the season.

Duke received 37 first place votes, while the undefeated No. 2 Michigan Wolverines received nine first place votes, the No. 3 Tennessee Volunteers received 12 votes, and the undefeated No. 4 Virginia Cavilers received five first place votes.

Closing out the Top-5 this week is the Gonzaga Wildcats.

The Blue Devils will be back on the hardwood twice this week as Duke will travel to Wake Forest on Tuesday night at 7:00 pm ET and then hit the road again in ACC play as Mike Krzyzewski‘s squad is headed to Florida to take on the No. 13 Florida State Seminoles on Saturday at 2:00 pm ET. Both games can be seen on ESPN.

Along side of the No. 1 Blue Devils, No. 4 Cavaliers, and No. 13 Seminoles, the only other ACC teams that are ranked are the No. 9 Virginia Tech Hokies, No. 12 North Carolina Tar Heels, and No. 15 North Carolina State Wolfpack.

The Louisville Cardinals also received three votes to be raked in this weeks AP Top-25 Poll.

The Blue Devils have at least one game remaining against all of those teams listed about as well as one more non-conference game against the St. John’s Red Storm of the Big East as the Red Storm come to Cameron Indoor Stadium in early February, who have cracked the rankings at No. 24 this week.
