The Duke Football team will look to end its season with a victory against the Temple Owls in the Walk-On’s Independence Bowl on Thursday afternoon.

The Duke Blue Devils will look to end the 2018 season on a high note as they will travel to Shreveport, Louisiana to take on the Temple Owls in the Walk-On’s Independence Bowl.

The game could be the last game in Daniel Jones‘ career as he has a decision to make about whether to return to Durham or declare for the NFL Draft.

Jones moved up the draft boards of many NFL teams before even stepping on the field on Thursday afternoon as Oregon quarterback, Justin Herbert, announced that he will return to Oregon for another season.

Herbert was the top rated quarterback on ESPN’s NFL Draft Analyst, Todd McShay’s draft board.

As for the game on the field on Thursday, the Blue Devils limp into this game both literally and physically as they are still dealing with the many injuries suffered during the season, most notably now with linebacker Joe Giles-Harris.

The Blue Devils finished the season at 7-5, losing its last two games of the season and only posting a combined 13 points in the two games, while giving up a combined 94 points.

The Duke defense will be tested early and often as Temple running back, Ryquell Armstead, is nearing the 1,100 yard mark on the season.

Temple is averaging 35.1 points per game and giving up 24.7 points per game as the Blue Devils are scoring 33.0 points per game and giving up 27.4 points per game.

The Walk-On’s Independence Bowl as the makings to be a classic and a shootout and it might as well come down to who makes the mistake at the most critical part of the game.

In what could be his last game as a Blue Devil, Daniel Jones will put on a clinic for the NFL scouts and lead Duke to a victory.

PREDICTION: Duke 48, Georgia Tech 42
