The Duke Basketball team is back as the No. 1 team in the nation in the Associated Press Top 25 Poll after two wins and Kansas loss this week.

The bullseye is back on the backs of the Duke Blue Devils as the team from Durham is once again the No. 1 team in the country in the latest Associated Press Top 25 Poll.

This week the Blue Devils handled the Princeton Tigers defeating them 101-50 and then traveled  north to Madison Square Garden and defeated the then No. 12 Texas Tech Red Raiders 69-58.

With the weekend off, Duke turned its attention to Tempe, Arizona as the former Duke star Bobby Hurley and then No. 18 Arizona State Sun Devils hosted the then No. 1 Kansas Jayhawks.

The Jayhawks fell to the Sun Devils 80-76, which opened up the top ranking for the Blue Devils to grab.

The Blue Devils started the season ranked at No. 4 in the preseason poll, but after thrashing the then No. 2 Kentucky Wildcats 118-84, Duke quickly jumped to No. 1 and held that ranking for three weeks as they were defeated by the Gonzaga Bulldogs.

Duke received 35 of a possible 64 first place votes.

Following the Blue Devils is the No. 2 Michigan Wolverines who received nine first place votes and then the No. 3 Tennessee Volunteers who received 12 first place votes.

The Virginia Cavaliers are ranked at No. 4 this week, receiving four first place votes and after the loss the Kansas Jayhawks fall to No. 5 but the team from Lawrence, Kansas still got four first place votes.

With ACC play coming up shortly, there are four ACC teams that are ranked in the Top-10, Duke at No. 1, Virginia at No. 4, the Florida State Seminoles at No. 9, and the Virginia Tech Hokies at No. 10.

Two other ACC teams are in the Top 25 with the North Carolina Tar Heels at No. 14 and the North Carolina State Wolfpack at No. 20.

The Duke Blue Devils will not be back on the court until after the New Year as they host the Clemson Tigers on January 5, 2019.
