The former Duke Basketball standout freshman and current forward of the Los Angeles Lakers, Brandon Ingram has continued to be out due to an ankle injury.

Brandon Ingram was set to take off this season, having yet another year of NBA experience and getting to play along side of LeBron James.

Things had been going well for Ingram, after the Lakers got off to a sluggish start, they have found their footing and are soaring up the standings in the Western Conference.

The Lakers have continued to roll but they have done so without Brandon Ingram who has been sidelined with an ankle injury.

Ingram has not taken the court since December 5 against the San Antonio Spurs, but the Lakers have upgraded his status from ‘out’ to ‘day to day’ as the Lakers will visit the Washington Wizards on Sunday evening.

Lakers reporter Mike Trudell broke the news that Ingram would not return during this road but might have a chance of returning to the floor once the Lakers arrive back in Los Angles on December 21 against the New Orleans Pelicans.

Brandon Ingram is averaging 15.2 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 2.2 assists per game, shooting 47.0% from the floor, 32.4% from three point range, and a very lowly 62.6% from the free throw line.

Currently sitting at 18-11 and in the No. 4 seed in the Western Conference, the Lakers have inserted Josh Hart into the starting lineup with Ingram out while leaning on Lance Stephenson and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope for production coming off the bench.

Playing in Washington against the Wizards on Sunday evening, the Lakers will then make a trip to New York to face the Brooklyn Nets on December 18 before heading back to the west coast.

Look for more news and injury updates on Brandon Ingram as the Lakers head west as they will host the Pelicans and Memphis Grizzlies before going on the road to face the Golden State Warriors on Christmas Day.
