Duke Basketball star freshman R.J. Barrett was selected at the ACC Freshman of the Week for his two performances over the past week.
Surprisingly, in the third week of the college basketball season, this is R.J. Barrett‘s first Freshman of the Week Award as he led the Blue Devils to victory in wins over the Indiana Hoosiers and the Stetson Hatters this week.
Last Tuesday against the Hoosiers, Barrett accumulated 22 points, nine rebounds, two blocks, an assist, and a steal.

Barrett made nine of his eighteen field goal attempts against Indiana, making two of his four shots from three point range in the Duke 90-69 victory.
The Canadian native was not satisfied after another big win on the year and he kept his motor going against a less than stellar Stetson team.
Against the Hatters on Saturday night, Barrett only logged 17 minutes, but scored 26 points, and also added seven rebounds, seven assists, and four steals.
Per @DukeMBBStats on Twitter, it was the first time in Duke Basketball history that a player had at least 25 points, seven rebounds, seven assists, and four steals in a game.
Barrett made twelve of his fourteen shot attempts, his only missed shots came from three point territory as he made two of his four attempts came from beyond the arc, as the Blue Devils rolled 113-49.
Barrett leads the ACC in scoring as he averages 23.1 points per game this season to go along with his 6.3 rebounds and 4.0 assists per game.
R.J. Barrett is the second Duke Blue Devils to be awarded the Freshman of the Week Award this season as Zion Williamson earned the honors in the first week of the year.
Barrett and Williamson will be back on the floor Wednesday night as the No. 3 Duke Blue Devils host the Hartford University Hawk. The game can be seen on ESPN2 at 7:00 pm ET.
