Cam Reddish may be the most overlooked of the four Duke Basketball freshman, but when it is all said and done, he may be the most impactful.

Have you ever glanced at the leaves of an oak tree, and the “Reddish” color they have?

Some of you may have.

During autumn, most of us have seen leaves fly swiftly through the air. But there’s a freshman in college hoops this year, that’s also pretty swift.

Would you expect someone who stands 6-foot-8, weighing 218 pounds to have a swiftness that would make your jaw drop?

Well, Duke freshman Cam Reddish moves swiftly with and without the basketball.

How swift, you may ask?

The swiftness started for the Pennsylvania native at Westtown School, a preparatory academy in Westtown Township, PA.

Outside of Reddish’s swift moves, the five-star prospect’s high school resume epitomizes his two fellow Duke teammates R.J. Barrett and Zion Williamson.

According to ESPN.com, he was the No. 3 overall high school recruit, and No.2 small forward behind current teammates R.J. Barrett and Zion Williamson.

You’ve heard of these accolades already, McDonald’s All-American, Jordan-Brand Classic All-Star, the same accolades your typical highly ranked recruits receive each year.

Reddish also held offers from Kentucky, Villanova, UCLA, and UConn.

Not only just an All-American, Reddish was also named Mr. Basketball in Pennsylvania.

However, in the summer of 2017, the 19-year-old played for the United States FIBA Under-19 World Cup team winning a bronze medal in Egypt.

Reddish is not only swift, but he’s a walking bucket.

Earlier this season, the 6-foot-8 phenom showed several commonalities, one commonality is his shooting ability.

Last month, Reddish along with Williamson and Barrett came out firing from downtown against the Kentucky Wildcats.

Reddish finished with 22 points, two rebounds, and three assists in that debut.

And the 22 points, coincides with his other two 20-plus point games against Army and Stetson.

Reddish finished with 25 points, seven rebounds, and three assists against Army, and 23 points, four rebounds, and an assist against Stetson.

Let’s move swiftly to the element I expounded on previously. His shooting.

Analytically, Reddish is one of Duke’s best outside shooters besides Barrett, considering he’s shot nearly 40-50% from three-point territory, which is pretty impressive for a freshman.

There’s more swiftness, Reddish has an impetuous first step off the dribble.

During the match up against Army, I noticed how swift his hesitation moves were to the basket.

He just knows how to create separation and blow past defenders.

Essentially, the swiftness is seen almost every night for the most part.

Fans, outside of R.J. Barrett  Zion Williamson, and Tre Jones, Cam Reddish is another freshman  that provides an offensive spark for Duke this season.

Now it’s winter time, since we’ve deviated from autumn.

Remember what I asked earlier about the leaves of an oak tree?

Again, we’ve all seen leaves fly swiftly through the air.

And then there’s Cam Reddish, the “SWIFT BALLER”.
