After dropping from the top ranking for the first time this season, the Duke Basketball team remained in the No. 3 slot in the latest AP Top 25 Poll.

Nothing has changed for the Blue Devils as they stay at No. 3 in the latest Associated Press Top 25 Poll after wins this week at home over the Indiana Hoosiers and the Stetson Hatters.

The Blue Devils rolled in both of these games, but there was not much change in the Top Five as Gonzaga and Kansas were still No. 1 and No. 2, respectively and the Virginia Cavaliers stayed at No. 4, but the Michigan Wolverines cracked the Top Five at No. 5.

Gonzaga received 43 votes for the top spot after defeating North Dakota State at home and then receiving a scare on the road against Creighton, losing by seven at halftime, but the Zags exploded in the second half and won by 11.

The Kansas Jayhawks got 19 votes for the No. 1 ranking, but the Jayhawks had the biggest scare of the week, needing a late three pointer by Lagerald Vick to send its game at home against Stanford to overtime. Kansas defeated Stanford by six in overtime.

Virginia took down No. 23 Maryland on the road on Wednesday night but were not able to rise in the polls like the Michigan Wolverines which come in at No. 5 this week after steamrolling the No. 11 North Carolina Tar Heels, 84-67 and beating the No. 19 Purdue Boilermakers, 76-57.

The Gonzaga Bulldogs will look to keep its No. 1 ranking as they play Washington and No. 7 Tennessee this week, Kansas hosts both Wofford and New Mexico State this week, the Blue Devils host Hartford and Yale, Virginia already beat Morgan State last night, but take on VCU on Sunday, and Michigan travel to Northwestern tonight and hosts South Carolina on Sunday.

The next Associated Press Top-25 Poll will be released on Monday, December 10 at 12:00 pm ET.
