After the loss to Gonzaga in the Maui Invitational the Duke Basketball team took a little bit of a dip in the AP Top 25 Poll.

After the thrashing of the then No. 2 Kentucky Wildcats on Opening Night the Blue Devils, then No. 4 in the AP Top 25 Polls, shot up to the top spot in the rankings, unseating then No. 1 Kansas.

As the season has now progressed to the end of November and the No. 1 Blue Devils lost to the then No. 3 Gonzaga Bulldogs, and Duke now sits at No. 3 in the AP Top 25 Poll.

Gonzaga shot up to No. 1 in the rankings while Kansas stayed at No. 2 despite defeating Marquette and then No. 5 Tennessee over the past week.

The Virginia Cavaliers and Nevada Wolfpack round out the Top Five, as both won its respective preseason tournaments.

Gonzaga received 32 votes for the top ranking while Kansas received 31, as both the Blue Devils and Cavaliers also received one vote for the No. 1 ranking.

Despite being in a very weak conference, Gonzaga has challenged themselves so far in their non-conference schedule and that will continue as they host North Dakota State tonight, but then play their next four games at Creighton, who is barley on the outside looking in of the Top 25, then they will host Washington, before playing No. 6 Tennessee in Phoenix, Arizona, and finishing up by traveling to Chapel Hill to face No. 11 North Carolina.

The Kansas Jayhawks are off during the week, but are back in action on Saturday as they will host the Stanford Cardinal.

The Blue Devils, looking to get back on track, will host the Indiana Hoosiers on Tuesday night in the ACC vs. Big Ten Challenge.

Indiana received 35 votes to be back in the Top 25 and based on votes they currently sit at No. 31. Duke will also play Stetson on Saturday night in Cameron Indoor Stadium.
