The Duke Football team lost to Wake Forest on Senior Day in Durham, making the Demon Deacons bowl eligible.
Embarrassing isn’t even the right word to use.
Losing 59-7 at home to an inferior team on Senior Day is absolutely horrific from this Duke Blue Devil team.

Newman also rushed for 50 yards on the afternoon.
Four different receivers caught touchdown passes today for Wake Forest but the group was led by Greg Dortch who hauled in 10 passes for 124 yards and that one touchdown.
No one played well for the Blue Devils.

Nicodem Pierre was the leading rusher, getting the ball two times for 37 yards and Deon Jackson was the leading receiver as he caught seven passes for 45 yards and a touchdown.
The Blue Devils fell to 7-5 on the season and 3-5 in conference play. Duke will make a bowl game but they are done for the regular season and will find out which bowl they are headed to on December 2.
