The signal caller of Duke Football took some the top weekly honors in the ACC after a record breaking performance last Saturday.

Since he’s returned from injury, it’s been hard to get a read on Duke Football quarterback Daniel Jones.

He struggled in his return against Virginia Tech, but bounced back nicely in a win over Georgia Tech, then underperformed against Virginia, but while still getting a win, he was not at his best in the horrific conditions in Miami.

Jones then came out on Saturday against North Carolina like a ball of fire as he led the Blue Devils to a 42-35 to retain the Victory Bell and was named as the ACC Quarterback of the Week.

North Carolina had no answer for Jones as he completed 31 of 54 pass attempt for 361 yards with three touchdowns and one interception, while he also rushed 15 times for 186 yards and touchdown.

Daniel Jones scampered for a 61-yard touchdown run and another run for 68 yards, where he was tackled on the two yard line.

The 547 yards of total offense that Jones put up is the fifth-highest single-game total in ACC history, and he became the third player in ACC history with multiple 300-yard passing and 100-yard rushing games.

The Charlotte, North Carolina native is not completing 61.0% of his passes on the season while throwing 16 touchdowns and only six interceptions. He has also rushed 327 total yards on the season with two touchdowns.

Perhaps the biggest test of the year awaits Daniel Jones and the Duke offense as they will travel down to Death Valley to take on the No. 2 Clemson Tigers on Saturday night.

If Jones is able to play well against the tenacious Tigers defense, he will surely be the most talked about ACC quarterback and his NFL Draft stock will only continue to rise.

The Blue Devils and the Tigers will kickoff on Saturday, November 17 at 7:00 pm ET on ESPN.
