One of the two Duke Basketball captains is looking to have much more of an impact on the court this season and he should if he can consistently make plays.
Jack White has not made much of an impact on the court during his first two years at Duke, however what he has done off the court is remarkable.
White has earned the trust and respect of his teammate and coaches and has been named one of the captains of the Duke Basketball team this season along with junior forward Javin DeLaurier.

The Australian native averaged 6.1 minutes per game in his freshman season, but that number dropped to 5.7 minutes per game during his sophomore season.
In that freshman season, White was only able to average 2.1 points per game while last season White averaged 0.8 points per game.
Although he is very limited with experience, White cam become one of the key players on this Duke Basketball team at Mike Krzyzewski can turn on the bench.
During the Duke Canada Tour, White’s strength showed out as well as his tenacious effort and much improved three point shooting, something that this Duke team might desperately need.
As many have stated, this Duke team is very young and very inexperienced, even though White has not been on the floor in big game, he has still been on a team that won an ACC Championship and made it to the Elite 8.
White has to take those experiences and share them with the young freshman so they might get a feeling on what to experience throughout this season.
White should have a significant spike in his on the court numbers this season, but it will be his leadership and experience that will be most valuable this season for the Blue Devils.
Jack White will have his first official game as a Duke captain when the Blue Devils take on the Kentucky Wildcats in the State Farm Champions Classic on Tuesday, November 6 at 9:30 pm ET from the Bankers Life Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana.
