There is a heralded freshman on the Duke Basketball roster that keeps getting over looked and he is poised for a big time season.

It seems almost impossible for a No. 3 overall recruit to fly under the radar, but somehow Cam Reddish is as the Duke Basketball season is set to tipoff.

With fellow freshman R.J. Barrett and Zion Williamson, the No. 1 and No. 2 recruits in the country, Reddish is flying under the radar and that could be perfect for the Blue Devils.

Barrett and Williamson are going to get a majority of the praise going into the season and finally with a true point guard, Tre Jones also is in the headlines, but the shooting guard / small forward from Westtown, Pennsylvania hasn’t been talked about.

Reddish did not play during the Canada Tour because of an ankle injury and then days before Countdown to Craziness, Mike Krzyzewski announced that Reddish suffered a broken rib in practice but after talking with the medical experts and coaches, Reddish played in the Blue and White scrimmage along with the two preseason games against Virginia Union and Ferris State.

The six-foot-eight-inch freshman might very well be the Blue Devils’ best shooter and once defenses have to commit to the threat on the outside, Reddish can use his athleticism and elusiveness to get to the rim for easy baskets.

Having the fire power of an R.J. Barrett and Zion Williamson will help Reddish because defenses will be so focused on stopping that dynamic duo, Reddish will have open lanes and shots all over the court.

Cam Reddish will suit up for the first time as a Duke Blue Devil on Tuesday, November 6 as the Devils take on the Kentucky Wildcats in the State Farm Champions Classic in Indianapolis, Indiana from the Bankers Life Fieldhouse at approximately 9:30 pm ET.
