A Duke basketball target from the 2020 class has put out a list of four schools he is still considering, and the Blue Devils are on it.

If the Duke basketball coaches can land a commitment from five-star 2020 point guard Jeremy Roach, they will be adding a finisher to their 2020-21 roster.

Not only does the 6-foot-2, 165-pound native of Fairfax, Va., finish when driving to the basket — in a way that resembles that of former Blue Devil point guard Kyrie Irving — he is ahead of most of his peers when it comes to finishing the recruitment process.

Despite just being in the first semester of his junior year, he has already dwindled his list to four college programs that remain in the race for his future services. According to a tweet by Tipton Edits on Thursday night, he will ultimately commit to either Duke, UNC, Kentucky, or Villanova.

Roach has not specified exactly when he plans to make his final choice; back in September, though, he told Evan Daniels of 247Sports that he would like to get the decision out of the way “early.”

Although the 247Sports Crystal Ball gives the early edge to Kentucky — holding four of the five picks that have been entered — Roach has thus far only taken an official visit to Duke (during the weekend of Oct. 12). He has yet to schedule any other visits.

Besides his ability to finish drives, Roach — ranked No. 16 overall in his class and No. 1 at his position on the 247Sports Composite — has impeccable speed and court awareness. In other words, he is an ideal candidate to direct the Duke offense in the future.

In addition to Roach, head coach Mike Krzyzewski and his staff have offered scholarships to three other 2020 recruits: small forward Jalen Johnson (No. 5 on the composite rankings), combo guard R.J. Hampton (No. 6), and shooting guard B.J. Boston (No. 11). The Blue Devils do not yet have a 2020 commitment.
