Former Duke Basketball guard Grayson Allen got his first valuable minutes since his NBA debut, and he was able to shoot perfect from the field.

Grayson Allen is perhaps the most followed player in recent years by the Duke fan base. Allen was able to win over the fan base through his four-years in Durham, NC and bringing home a National Championship in 2015. Allen could’ve left for the NBA draft after his sophomore and junior year, but decided to stay at Duke all four-years.

Allen made his NBA debut against the Memphis Grizzlies on October 22. He finished the game with 11 minutes and seven points. Since making his NBA debut, Allen has seen little to no time on the floor.

On Sunday night versus the Dallas Mavericks, Allen received more playing time. Allen was able to finish the game with 13 minutes, 11 points, and one rebound. He was also able to have the teams best plus/minus, finishing +17 on the day.

Allen also had an efficient game versus the Mavericks. He was able to shoot three of three from the field and making all four of his free throws.

Ending the game shooting a perfect 100% in Sunday night’s game. Allen was able to muscle through the defense when in the lane and get to the free throw line at will. He knocked down a step-back three with 9:55 remaining in the fourth-quarter as seen in the video from the NBA’s Official Twitter account.

Allen has shown glimpses of excellence in his limited amount of time on the floor. He looks to prove his talent on the floor as the year goes on. Joe Ingles and Donovan Mitchell have talked highly of playing with Allen.

The Utah Jazz beat the Dallas Mavericks 113-104 on Sunday night.

The Jazz now move to a 4-2 record overall. The Jazz’ next game is against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday, October 31 at 8:00 PM ET.
