Duke Basketball: Blue Devils take on Virginia Union in exhibition game
Duke Basketball is back on the court tonight in game action as they host Virginia Union in an exhibition game.
The Duke Blue Devils should be at full strength tonight as they continue there series of exhibition games from this summer, but this one has a little more meaning.
Virginia Union will walk into Cameron Indoor Stadium tonight for the first preseason game of the season that Duke will host after playing three games in Canada over the summer.

The Panthers of Virginia Union are the reigning 2018 CIAA Tournament Champions and they will look to try and measure themselves against of of the best in the NCAA.
This should be the first time we see the entire 2018-19 Duke Basketball team on the floor together as a team since Cam Reddish and Tre Jones did not play during the Canada Tour and Alex O’Connell left in the first half of the first game with a face injury.
However, despite playing in the Countdown to Craziness scrimmage, Mike Krzyzewski revealed that Reddish was dealing with a fractured rib but after talking with the coaches and doctors, Reddish was able to withstand the pain and play with a pad covering the injury.
It will be interesting to see who cracks the starting lineup tonight as Coach K said at Duke’s Media Day that if the season started then the starters would be: Jones, Reddish, R.J. Barrett, Zion Williamson, and Javin DeLaurier.
With that press conference only being one week ago, I would assume that the starters would remain the same barring any injuries.
Tonight will be one of two exhibition games that the Blue Devils will host as Ferris State will roll into Cameron Indoor Stadium on Saturday afternoon ahead of the showdown on November 6 between the No. 4 Duke Blue Devils and the No. 2 Kentucky Wildcats in the Champions Classic.
Despite being labeled as ‘exhibition games’ Duke will take these two games seriously as they don’t have those two buy games before the season opener.
The game is at 7:00 pm ET and can be seen on the ACC Network Extra or on Watch ESPN.
