Duke Basketball: Cam Reddish playing through a fractured rib
After the hype and craziness of the Duke Basketball Countdown to Craziness, Coach K announced that Cam Reddish fractured a rib in practice.
It pretty hard to be under the radar as the No. 3 overall freshman coming into college, but that is what seems to have happened with Cam Reddish since he has stepped onto campus at Duke, but Reddish is trying to battle through some injuries at the moment.
After the Blue-White scrimmage Duke Basketball Head Coach Mike Krzyzewski announced that Reddish suffered a fractured rib in practice on Tuesday but has been playing through the injury after consulting with the teams medical staff and coaches.

Coach K said that the injury has affected Reddish’s shot, but he is wearing a corset to protect the fractured rib.
Reddish joins the Duke Blue Devils out of Westtown High School in Pennsylvania and he was just named to the Julius Erving Award Watch List, an award that goes to the stop small forward in the nation.
Reddish led the Blue Team along with fellow freshman R.J. Barrett, despite losing to the White Team 44-39.
However, Coach K said earlier in the week that if the season started tomorrow the starting five would be Reddish and Barrett along with Zion Williamson, Tre Jones, and Javin DeLaurier.
The Pennsylvania native did not play in Duke’s trip to Canada over the summer because of a foot/ankle injury, but made his return to the court once fall practice started.
The biggest test for Reddish is to see if he will be on the floor for Duke’s two upcoming exhibition game starting on Tuesday, October 23 at 7:00 pm ET against Virginia Union. The Blue Devils then take on Ferris State on Saturday, October 27 at 4:00 pm ET before facing Kentucky in the Champions Classic on November 6.
It is positive that Reddish was able to withstand the pain and play through what seems to be a difficult injury, but going forward it’ll be worth monitoring how much Reddish is on the court, how is he moving, and how he handles contact.
