Jamison Crowder, the former Duke Football star found the end zone on Sunday afternoon in Washington’s upset victory.

It was a bit of a rocky start for the former Duke Football standout, Jamison Crowder, but after a big Week 3 in addition to his team upset victory, things are looking up for the slot receiver.

In the Washington Redskins victory over the Green Bay Packers on Sunday afternoon at FedEx Field, Crowder hauled in all four of his targets for 39 yards and a touchdown.

Washington also used Crowder in the running game one time, as he rushed for six yards.

This isn’t the first time the Redskins have used Crowder’s speed in their rushing attack as in last weeks loss to the Indianapolis Colts, Crowder ran for 29 yards on two carries.

Throughout the first three weeks of the season, new Redskins quarterback Alex Smith has targeted Crowder four times in each game as he tends to normally find his tight ends Jordan Reed and Vernon Davis.

Crowder can be very impactful for this Redskins team in the slot receiver position because of his lightning quick speed and his ability to make defenders miss in the open field.

As teams start to defend the Washington’s tight ends more often, expect Crowder to take on a bigger role in the Redskins offense as they have their sights set on dethroning the defending Super Bowl Champions, the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC East.

The stats Crowder puts up will not jump off the page at you, but with nine receptions for 79 yards and a touchdown to go along with three rushes for 35 yards, Jamison Crowder is a consistent weapon in the new look Redskins offense.

Next week could be a big time week for Jamison Crowder as the Redskins will travel south to take on the New Orleans Saints and their very porous pass defense on ESPN’s ‘Monday Night Football’.
