Duke Football: Halftime Report against the Baylor Bears
Despite many injuries, Duke Football has traveled to Waco, Texas to face the Baylor Bears in a non-conference game.
Well, it started how last weeks game against Northwestern ended as Michael Carter II left the game during the opening drive with a leg injury and will not return for the remainder of the game.
However, the Duke defense did not miss a beat after being helped out with a missed field goal on that opening drive from Baylor and then Marquis Waters blocked another field goal to keep the Bears off the scoreboard.

In his first career start, Duke quarterback Quentin Harris seemed nervous to start, but quickly settled in to help lead the Blue Devils to their 23-0 start.
Harris completed eight of his 21 passes for 142 yards and two touchdowns.
The Duke running game also played a big role in the first half for the Blue Devils as Deon Jackson ran the ball five times for 43 yards and a touchdown.
Harris also carried the ball himself six times, gaining 38 yards, while Brittain Brown rushed five times for 39 yards.
The Blue Devils were led by T.J. Rahming and Johnathan Lloyd in the receiving game as they combined to catch five passes for 123 yards and two touchdowns.
Despite being severely undermanned, the Duke defense continued their outstanding play, forcing a turnover, a fumble recovery by Dylan Singleton.
As the second half gets started in matter of minutes, Duke’s main focus on offense should be to establish the running game and then try some play action pass plays, to control the tempo and the time of possession.
Although the Duke defense has been outstanding, it is very hot and sunny in Waco, Texas this afternoon and being on the field more will only get them more tired which will show in the 4th quarter.
