The Champions Classic is the premier event to start the college basketball season and it will take place in Indianapolis, Indiana at the Bankers Life Fieldhouse, the home of the Indiana Pacers.

The Duke vs. Kentucky game is the main event of the evening as the No. 1 and No. 2 ranked recruiting classes, by ESPN, will face off in their first regular season action of their college careers.

Both Duke and Kentucky played in international games over the summer with the Blue Devils going up to Canada and the Wildcats playing in the Bahamas for a week.

The Duke recruting class is led by Canadian star and the No. 1 ranked player in the Class of 2018, R.J. Barrett while the Kentucky freshman are headlined by Keldon Johnson, the No. 7 player in the class.

The Blue Devils also have the No. 2, No. 3, No. 17, and No. 41 players in the Class of 2018, Zion Williamson, Cam Reddish, Tre Jones, and Joey Baker, respectively.

The Wildcats bring in the No. 14, No. 20, No. 25, and No. 30 players who are E.J. Montgomery, Ashton Hagans, Immanuel Quickly, and Tyler Herro to go along with Johnson. Kentucky also brings in transfer Reid Travis who averaged 19.5 points per game for the Stanford Cardinal last season.
