This former Duke Basketball star always knew life was bigger than basketball and he proved it yet again with a selfless act, giving back to the one person that has always been at his side.

We all have that one person in our lives that believes in us. Sometimes it’s a friend, a brother, a sister, a coach, or a father.

For Quinn Cook it is his mother and the recently crowned NBA Champion with the Golden State Warriors surprised his mother with a brand new Range Rover.

Quinn and Janet Cook have been through the toughest of times in their lives and the two of them will continue to presevere.

About ten years ago, Quinn’s father, and Janet’s husband, Ted, died from cardiac arrest and this unimaginable rough period taught Quinn and Janet Cook how to be resilient with any other obstacle in life.

If you haven’t watched the video when Cook surprised his mother with the new car, you can find it below, and you might want to go grab a box of tissues.

Once graduating Duke as a National Champion, Cook went undrafted in the 2015 NBA Draft, and quickly found his way to the then NBA D-League.

After continuing to dominate the now NBA G-League, Cook bounced around with a few NBA teams before finding a home in Oakland with the Golden State Warriors.

Cook thrived while filling in for Stephen Curry while he was out with an injury and became an integral part of the Warriors Championship run.

Warriors Head Coach Steve Kerr was so impressed with Cook, the Warriors signed the Duke product to a two year deal worth over $1.5 million.

Forget about basketball, only at age 25, Quinn Cook has been through the ups and downs of life and he has the humility and care in his heart to give back to all those who sacrificed so much to help him in achieving his goal in life.

Whether it’s on the basketball court or in life, Quinn Cook is a winner and he is a person that will always be respected by those around him.
