The Duke Basketball 2018-19 Non-Conference Schedule has been released and the Blue Devils will be tested in early in the season.

We are one step closer to basketball season as the Duke Basketball 2018-19 non-conference schedule has been released.

The Blue Devils start their 2018-19 campaign with one of the most highly anticipated season openers in college basketball history as they take on the Kentucky Wildcats in the Champions Classic in Indianapolis on November 6.

Duke then returns home to face Coach K’s former team and alma mater Army on Veterans Day on November 11 and then the Blue Devils take on Eastern Michigan on November 14 at Cameron Indoor Stadium.

After a five day break, the Blue Devils will fly out to Maui, Hawaii for the Maui Invitational and face San Diego State in the First Round. The winner of the Duke vs San Diego State game will then face the winner of the Auburn vs Xavier, and the losers will also face each other.

The gauntlet of the Maui Invitational continues for the third straight day on November 21 as the Blue Devils will be facing a team on the other side of the bracket whether that’s Arizona, Gonzaga, Illinois, or Iowa State.

This will either be the Championship Game, Third Place Game, or Consolation Game for Duke.

Just like last year, the Blue Devils will go from their Regular Season Tournament to the ACC-BIG 10 Challenge, just this time Duke will return to Durham to face Indiana instead of traveling to Assembly Hall on November 27.

The Blue Devils will then play three games in the span of eight days against inferior opponents as on December 1 Duke will host Stetson and on December 5 Hartford will come into Cameron. Duke wraps up the stretch on December 8 against Yale, who the Blue Devils last met in the Round of 32 in the 2016 NCAA Tournament.

After the 10-day exam break, the Blue Devils will host another Ivy League opponent in Princeton on December 18.

Duke will then travel up to New York City to take on the Texas Tech Red Raiders at Madison Square Garden on December 20.

Shortly after the Blue Devils and Red Raiders battle in the Big Apple, ACC play will begin, however that portion of the schedule has not been released yet.

Despite ACC play starting Duke still has one non-conference game yet and it’s very similar to last season. On February 2 St. John’s will come into Cameron Indoor Stadium in a return game where the Johnnies defeated the Blue Devils last season in New York.

Times have not been announced for the non-conference games and the ACC schedule is yet to be announced, but there is much to look forward too as the Blue Devils will begin their preseason on August 15 for three games in Canada.
