It was the Utah Summer League finale and the lone Duke in the NBA player in the string of games put filled the stat sheet once again.

Grayson Allen has struggled shooting the ball, but he has not let that affect the rest of his game in the Utah Summer League.

The No. 21 overall pick in 2018 NBA Draft scored nine points, dished out eight assists, pulled down six rebounds, and recorded three steals in the Jazz’s 92-87 win over the Atlanta Hawks Summer League team.

Allen struggled with his shot, only making two of his thirteen shots, and missing both of his three-point attempts, however, he did put on a show pregame, displaying his freakish athleticism with jaw-dropping dunks.

Once again Allen’s passing abilities were on full display during the game as his eight assists show, but Grayson’s defense was outstanding throughout the game on the No. 3 overall pick in the 2018 NBA Draft Trae Young.

Allen was all over Young, Young became visibly frustrated and when Allen fouled him on a shot attempt, Young shoved Allen towards the floor while Allen responded pushing Young in the chest with his head on his way back to the bench.

Presumably many media outlets will focus on Allen’s portion of the scuffle but both players were assessed technical fouls and the personal foul that was given to Allen for the shooting foul.

Young finished the game three of sixteen from the floor, only making one of his eight shots from three-point range.

As the Utah Summer League has come to a close, Allen and the rest of the Utah Jazz Summer League Team is set to head to the Las Vegas Summer League where its first game will be on Saturday against former Duke Blue Devil and Allen’s teammate last season Gary Trent Jr. and the rest of the Portland Trail Blazers Summer League team. The game is at 3:00 pm ET and scheduled to be televised NBATV.
