It’s not time for schedule making yet, but we are certainly getting closer as the ACC foes that Duke’s Men’s Basketball team will face are set.

Let’s start off with the obvious, Duke will play North Carolina both in Cameron and in the Dean Dome. That’s a given, from there questions surrounded who Duke would play, where, and how many times.

Along with Carolina, Duke will get Wake Forest twice, just like this past season. Duke split the season series with Carolina last year, both teams winning on their home floor and Duke swept their two games with Wake.

Two teams that Duke did not play twice in the regular season last year, Syracuse and Virginia, will get a shot at the Blue Devils twice in 2018-19.

The Blue Devils did face the Orange twice last season, once in the regular season and once in the NCAA Tournament, Duke winning both games.

It was Virginia that got the best of Duke in their one and only meeting at Cameron last season.

Coming into Cameron Indoor Stadium next season is Boston College, Clemson, Georgia Tech, and Miami.

None of these teams visited Cameron last season, Duke going on the road and defeating all of these teams except for Boston College, their first ACC loss in their first ACC game.

At least on paper, the Blue Devils seem to have a daunting road schedule, visiting Louisville, Notre Dame, Flordia State, and Pittsburgh.

The Blue Devils took down all of these foes last season in Cameron, while also winning in the second meeting with Pittsburgh on the road and against Notre Dame in the ACC Tournament.

Perhaps the most notable thing coming out of this schedule release is that former Duke Associate Head Coach and current Pittsburgh Head Coach Jeff Capel will not make his return to Cameron Indoor this season.

It is a sure bet that Pittsburgh will be in Cameron during the 2019-20 season, where Capel will be welcomed back into Cameron with open arms.

Now we wait for the dates and times to be announced for these ACC opponents, as well as the non-conference schedule that will come out piece by piece throughout the offseason.
