The trophy case at the Hill residence is about to get a little bigger after the big news today.

According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, the former Duke star will be inducted into the Naismith Basketball Hall of Fame.

Grant Hill is apart of a major class headed to Springfield, Massachuttes. The full class will be revealed on Saturday, March 31 on ESPN2 at Noon EST.

Hill was a stud at Duke, and there’s no other way to describe him.

A two-time National Champion (’91, ’92), ACC Player of the Year (1994), a Conseuos All-American (1994), and the NABC Defensive Player of the Year (1993).

Hill also has his No. 33 hanging in the rafters at Cameron Indoor Stadium.

As the third overall selection in the 1994 NBA Draft by the Detroit Pistons, Hill’s NBA career never lived up to the hype of his college career due to injuries.

However, Hill still had a stellar NBA career.

Hill was a seven-time All-Star, NBA Co-Rookie of the Year, a First Team All-NBA Selection, and a four-time Second Team All-NBA Selection.

Hill spent nine years in the NBA with four different teams. Hill made stops with the Pistons, Magic, Suns, and Clippers, before heading to the broadcast booth.

Hill is apart of the top College Basketball broadcast team for CBS and Turner Sports. Hill will be on the call of the Final Four and National Championship on TBS this weekend alongside Jim Nantz, Bill Raftery, and Tracy Wolfson.

According to the Woj report, Steve Nash, Jason Kidd, Maurice Cheeks, Rod Thorn, and Tina Thompson will also be inducted into the Hall of Fame.

Another Duke player was a Hall of Fame finalist but does not know his fate yet. That player is Charles ‘Lefty’ Driesell.

The Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony takes place on Thursday, September 7 at 7:00 pm EST in Springfield, Massachuttes.
