Redshirt senior guard Lexie Brown was named to the preseason watch list for the Nancy Lieberman Award for the nation’s top point guard. Brown starred for Duke last season after transferring from Maryland. She earned All-America honors after helping the team advance to the ACC title game and earn a #1 seed in the NCAA Tournament last year, despite starting the season unranked. She’s one of the favorites to win the award after averaging 18.3 points, 3.9 assists, 3.9 rebounds, and 2.8 steals per game last season.

Blue Devil forward Rebecca Greenwell joined the Ann Meyers Drysdale Award watch list for the best shooting guard. She averaged 16.4 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 2.4 assists last year. The redshirt senior returns as one of the top long-distance shooters in college basketball. Greenwell is on track to break the program record this season with 24 more threes.

Leaonna Odom was named a preseason candidate for the Katrina McClain Award given to the top PF. She excelled as a freshman year averaging 8.1 point and 4.6 rebounds, earning All-ACC Freshman honors. The 6-2 sophomore forward will play a major role for Duke Women’s Basketball this season.

Finally, center Erin Mathias was added to the 2018 Lisa Leslie Award preseason watch list. The 6-4 senior only averaged 3.9 points and 3.4 rebounds last year. However, she will play a larger role this season and is key to leading Duke’s defense.
