Coach K will make a gametime decision for the availability of Allen and Jefferson tonight. Grayson Allen is recovering from a left ankle injury suffered against Wake Forest, that his limited his effectiveness and aggressiveness recently. Amile Jefferson missed two games, including the first matchup at FSU, with a bone bruise on his right foot. The 6-9 forward has been experiencing “lingering discomfort” and was forced to sit out most of last year after fracturing it.

Grayson Allen and Amile Jefferson both play major roles for Duke Basketball this year. Allen leads the team in assists averaging 3.9 per game to go along with 15.0 points and 4.2 rebounds. In the Miami loss, Duke was only able to score 50 points without the junior guard. Jefferson is the team’s leading rebounder grabbing 8.5 boards per game and scoring 11.1 points. He is also the defensive leader and the team is 0-2 when he is not in the lineup.
Both upperclassmen players will most likely want to play in what could be their final home game. Amile Jefferson is a redshirt senior in his final year of eligibility and Grayson Allen is expected to fulfill the requirements to graduate as a junior this year. However, the choice up to Coach K if he decides to play or rest them for the postseason.
