Junior Bailey Clark is a 6-5 right handed pitcher who led the Blue Devils with a 2.95 ERA in 13 starts last season, striking out 49 batters in 59.0 innings in addition to holding opposing hitters to a .242 batting average. Clark was also added as an alternate for the USA Baseball Collegiate National Team. He will play a key role for Duke Baseball this season as the main starter and is expected to be one of the top pitchers in the ACC.
Duke Baseball will have a challenging schedule this year, and will kick off the season hosting California in a three-game series February 19-21. The team also extended their deal with the Durham Bulls to continue playing home games at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park downtown.
