The Blue Devils are eligible for their program-record 4th consecutive postseason bowl game this year.
Duke Football ended the regular season with a win against Wake Forest to end a 4-game losing streak. Although the team fell short of the ultimate goal to win the ACC Coastal Division and compete in the championship game, the Blue Devils did have several accomplishments including adding to the record for consecutive bowl games, having a total of 8 players recognized by the conference including 3 on the All-ACC First Team, and they have already ensured they will finish the season with a winning record currently at 7-5.
Next on to list is to win a postseason game, as Duke hopes to end a bowl game losing streak currently at 0-5 since defeating Arkansas 7-6 in the 1961 Cotton Bowl. The losses the last three postseasons have all been winnable games, with the Blue Devils leading at some point in the game but falling behind late after making key mistakes. Below are a few of the latest projections for Duke Football’s potential bowl game for this year from college football experts:

There are a wide variety of potential bowl games and opponents predicted for Duke this postseason, but it looks like the most popular destination is the Independence Bowl in Shreveport, Louisiana or the Military Bowl in Annapolis, Maryland. If the Blue Devils do land in the Independence Bowl that normally pits the ACC against the SEC (although Fox projects Cal), hopefully they can avoid LSU in what would pretty much be a home game for the Tigers who were at one point #2 in the nation.
