The Duke Blue Devils have moved up two spots to No. 7 in week nine of the AP Top 25 poll.

It was a pretty slow week for Duke, with their only action being an easy 82-59 victory over Eastern Michigan at home. Their move up comes as a result of Villanova (previously No. 8) being swallowed by Syracuse on the road and Louisville (previously No. 6) getting knocked off by Kentucky.

Still, Duke is playing their best basketball of the season at the moment, and they are finally looking like the team we all had such lofty expectations for heading into the year.

The defense is back on track. They can all suddenly rebound. Rasheed Sulaimon snapped out of his funk and is looking like a legitimate contributor again. Quinn Cook seems to be comfortable after a few games worth of Mr. Cook’s Wild Ride. Andre Dawkins has returned to his streaky, sharpshooting ways.

All is well in Durham.
