Duke football lands two highly recruited commits

The future of Duke football looks as if it’s headed in the right direction. Two highly ranked recruits verbally committed to Duke this week.

Reno Rosene and Joe Giles-Harris are both incoming high school seniors who were heavily recruited across the country.

Rosene has been in the national spotlight since his freshman year. He was named to the MaxPreps Freshman All-America list back in 2011. He also was named to the MaxPreps Sophomore All-America list a year later. He had offers from Arizona State, N.C. State, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Vanderbilt, Washington State and other notable institutions before deciding to join the Blue Devil squad.

He’s rated from a three-star prospect on Scout.com and ESPN.com to a four-star prospect on Yahoo.com

Rosene is going to be someone you aren’t going to want to line up against. The 6-foot-8 345 pound offensive tackle looks to have a promising career ahead of him.

Giles-Harris hasn’t been in the spotlight as long as Rosene, but he’s still garnering national attention. He was offered scholarships to Arizona State, Boston College, Illinois, Iowa, N.C. State, Rutgers, Syracuse, Virginia, West Virginia and other collegiate programs.

He’s rated as a three-star prospect across the board for his position at outside linebacker.

Unlike Rosene, Giles-Harris has a twitter account where he tweeted out his decision today.

Rosene and Giles-Harris are the fifth and sixth addition to the Class of 2015 recruiting class, joining future teammates Quentin Harris, Jordan Hayes, Brandon Boyce and Zach Morris.
