UPDATE (2:19 pm): While it isn’t official yet, reports are pouring in that Duke will play Texas A&M in the 2013 Chick-Fil-A Bowl.
Just got word from two separate sources (one A&M) that Aggies to Chick-fil-A bowl on New Year’s Eve.

Following an hour or two of total drama, the Duke Blue Devils (10-3) are officially in the Chick-Fil-A Bowl, where they’ll square off against Johnny Manziel and the Texas A&M Aggies (8-4). The game will take place on Dec. 31st at 8:00 PM ET in the Georgia Dome.
While Texas A&M’s season has certainly been ridden with disappointment and frustration, any team led by former Heisman-winner Manziel is a tough matchup. The Aggies ranked 7th nationally in passing yards and 6th in points scored.
Their biggest issue has been their defense, which has given up an average of 30.9 points a game, good enough for 89th in the nation. Of course, it is difficult to say how much of this is due to the defense themselves and how much is because of the sudden offensive revolution in the SEC, but I don’t see the Blue Devils having nearly as much trouble scoring against them as they did against Florida State.
Here is more about the Chick-Fil-A Bowl, from the official site:
The Chick-fil-A Bowl is the ninth-oldest bowl game in the country and hosts the longest-running rivalry series between the ACC and SEC. Now in its 46th year, the Chick-fil-A Bowl has established itself as one of the nation’s elite bowl games with a string of 16 consecutive sellouts and has earned a reputation as one of the most competitive bowls in the nation.
Fifty-six percent of its games have been decided by a touchdown or less.
On television, Chick-fil-A Bowl games are now the number-one most-viewed, four of the top 10 and seven of the top-25 most-viewed non-BCS bowl game telecasts in ESPN history.
The Chick-fil-A Bowl has disbursed $117.8 million in team payouts over its 45-year history and has increased team payout every year since 1996.
The Bowl also leads all other bowl games in charitable and scholarship contributions, giving more than $15.7 million to organizations in need since 2002.
Other events under the Chick-fil-A Bowl brand include the Chick-fil-A Bowl Challenge charity golf tournament each spring and the Chick-fil-A Kickoff Game season-opening game over Labor Day weekend.
