Duke Basketball: Looking Into The Crystal Ball

Duke basketball is something that goes all year round. Whether if it’s recruiting, games, or just hype about the season. I know some of you have lingering questions about what Duke basketball holds in the upcoming months. I’m going to do my best to look in the crystal ball and make my own predictions.

Will Coach K win another championship?

This is a tough one to predict. No one truly knows what to expect out of a team, barring injury or some other unexpected occurrence. I believe Coach K will win at least one more championship. He has a decent chance this season, but a even better chance next season. (You’ll see why below). I think Coach K will get number five to add to is illustrious legacy.

How good will Jabari Parker be?

Very good. That’s the short answer. The long answer is forthcoming. I believe Jabari Parker will go down as a all-time great, in terms of excellence on and off the court. Why do I believe this? If you ever heard Jabari Parker speak, then that is all you need to know. This kid is all about academics, and has an established work ethic. Oh, and not to mention, he has been labeled as “the next LeBron”, so I would imagine he is pretty good at playing basketball.

What should we expect on the recruiting front?

This honestly has the chance to be a crazy recruiting class for Coach K and company. As of now, I firmly believe Tyus Jones and Jahlil Okafor are both heading to Duke. That would be a crazy class just by itself. But Duke is in the mix for the likes of Justice Winslow and Kevon Looney. Just imagine if Duke were to land that type of talent, to go along with the impeccable coaching ability of Coach K.

This is only part one. Expect another part in the coming days. Have questions you want to be answered? Let us know in the comment section below.
