Duke Lacrosse Wins NCAA Title

May 27, 2013; Philadelphia, PA, USA; Duke Blue Devils players pose for a photo following the game against the Syracuse Orange in the 2013 NCAA Division I Men

Duke men’s lacrosse gets it done for the second time in school history. This time it was against the top-seeded Syracuse Orange.

The game got of to a horrendous start for Duke. Syracuse scored their first five goals in the first quarter and shut the Blue Devils out.

The second quarter was much better. Duke rallied with a 5-1 run and cut Syracuse’s lead down to one at halftime.

Duke carried the momentum into the second half and scored 11 of the second half’s 15 goals. Duke came out  victorious with a 16-10 win.

For me personally, these lacrosse games were much more entertaining then I would’ve expected. I’ll admit that I wasn’t a huge fan of lacrosse  in general before these games, but now I am thrilled to see the Blue Devils take this one.

Congrats to John Danowski and the Duke men’s lacrosse team.
